Honoring Dick Van Patten
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved co-founder, Dick Van Patten.
Our hearts go out to his family—his wife, Pat, and his three sons, Vincent, Nels, and Jimmy.
As the patriarch of the television series “Eight Is Enough,” Dick was an American father figure. Those of us at Natural Balance—and all who were fortunate enough to meet him—also know that he was a warm, passionate and extremely caring advocate for America’s pets.
Mr. Van Patten believed that, as members of the family, our dogs and cats deserve the very best. He made it his mission to see that every animal is treated with love and respect, beginning with pet food based on sound scientific principles and nutritional truths.
Dick has made an irreplaceable contribution to pets and families across the country, and his work continues to inspire all that we do at Natural Balance.
