I just wanted to tell you how wonderful I think your pet food is. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats. My golden Retriever (now passed) had skin allergies and your Lamb and Brown Rice Formula really helped with this condition. My Dalmatian has bladder crystals and I could never find a food that helped with this, he would have accidents in the house and also dribbling. But after purchasing your food, he no longer has this problem. It's a miracle in my opinion. My mixed breed has diabetes (the reason I started checking ingredients in their food) and I believe this food is helping him as well. He visits the vet about once a month and has lost about 5 lbs of unneeded weight each of his last 3 visits. My cats are very finicky..wouldn't touch anything other than Iams. After seeing the improvement in my dogs I decided to try your cat food and now they won't finish the 1/3 bag of Iams that I have left! I just wanted to let you know how glad I am that we discovered Natural Balance Pet Food. We have a 5-year-old Great Dane who has been experiencing skin, coat and ears issues for many years. We were constantly taking her to the vet who said she just has allergies and to give her Benedryl. I was writing to share a very good example of how amazing your food is. My brother in law and his girlfriend just had a baby and they are struggling like any young parent would. I just wanted to say thank you. I have a year old Ridgeback who has suffered from digestive issues for half his life - vomiting, soft stool, upset stomachs daily... He also hated his top-of-the-line dog food (which is suppose to be great for him) that I fed him each day. This made things worse because he barely ate and then what he did eat he would vomit away. His beautiful, shiny coat was starting to suffer and although he was the second largest in his litter at birth he was now the smallest because he wasn't getting the nutrients he needed. i just wanted to thank you for your fabulous Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Formulas. We first used your product for our oldest dog who kept getting infected ears and paws and a vet suggested your food. It worked! Our youngest dog is a love and starting having seizures which just about killed us. Tests showed no medical problems, and he and our third dog had been on other supposedly natural food - we were just feeding your food to the older dog. Poor little Peanut kept having seizures which were agonizing to watch. We switched him over to natural balance and guess what - he hasn't had a seizure since! Puppies can begin nibbling on moistened Natural Balance® Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Dry Dog Food before they are weaned. From six weeks to six months, feed three times a day. After six months, it is recommended to feed twice daily.

The Adult Adult dogs should be fed either once or twice per day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance® Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula, we suggest to start with the amounts recommended in the Table. Energy requirements vary with environmental conditions, temperature and activity of your dog. The amount of food should always be adjusted to suit your dog’s needs.

Immediately after whelping, the nutritional demand increases by 50% compared to maintenance levels. Feed in 3 equal meals per day.

Working Dogs Based on the work your dog will be asked to perform, the nutritional requirements will vary accordingly. As the work load increases, the demand for protein and fat increases proportionally. Dogs in hard training will generally require twice the maintenance levels.

The Older Dog As your dog begins to age, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper body weight for less active dog.

FEEDING MANAGEMENT

We recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals or any other supplements, except upon the advice of a veterinarian. When switching your dog's diet, the change should be made gradually, by replacing the current food with increasing portions of Natural Balance® Lamb Meal & Brown Rice dog food. The change should be completed after 5 to 7 days. The maintenance of proper body weight is most important for your dog's health.
