Surf’s Up! In the 123rd Rose Parade®, the 2012 Natural Balance float was awarded the Guinness World Records for both the World's Longest and World's Heaviest Float measuring 119 feet 7 inches, and weighing in at 131,950 pounds! Natural Balance® broke its own two world records as having the longest Rose Parade float entry in history (awarded in 2010 at 113 ft. and 8 in. long) and the heaviest float with the most water ever used (awarded in 2011 weighing in at 84,300 pounds).
Tillman, who has already been proclaimed the “World’s Fastest Skateboarding Dog” by Guinness World Records®, hangs ten with his buddies Rose, Sully, Wally, Norman, Stanley and Newman. After extensive training, Tillman & Friends had fun in the sun showing off their surfing skills using a specially designed wave machine that created a 65-foot long wave every minute in over 6,600 gallons of water! The float was powered by a Ford-built and designed 6.8-liter three-valve V10 gas engine that renders 362 horsepower and 457 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine was coupled with a Ford 6R410 six-speed transmission with double overdrive gears for improved fuel economy. See the diagram below for details on this engine!
