Dear Natural Balance, I simply have a comment - actually; it is a plea. I beg of you to keep your Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula the same! My four dogs suffered immensely and I researched and tried things endlessly until I found this food. Their lives have changed and I can finally get some rest from the non stop worry and searching. I have been feeding my dogs tyour food for two years now and they have done very well on it. My cats like your food too, and I especially want to thank you for developing the allergy Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Formula for cats. My older female cat Olive was losing weight and throwing up after developing an allergy to something in the regular cat food. We rescued a 6.5 month old beagle end of Jan. We struggled for 2.5 months to find a food that she would eat. She would even refuse the home cooked recipe that friends feed their beagles. About over a year maybe longer we started on Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula just a 5 lb bag just in case the dogs did not like it but we soon figured out that it was a big hit in our house. When I would feed my dogs before I discovered Nature Balance my dogs just picked at their food, sometimes it would take two days to empty out the food. One day I was at Petco and picked up some sample bags and haven't looked back. I had my sister change her dog food when she came to visit with her pooch she said, "You try to feed him but he only eats lunch meat." My eyes lit up with amazement that my sister would do tha. She said she had to or her dog would not eat. I put a small bowl in front of this Dachshund, and she and my sister are still happy they came to visit. I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with your Natural Balance® Sweet Potato & Venison Formula dry kibble for dogs. My Pomeranian had lost her hair approx. 3 yrs. when she was shaved in grooming. Her hair grew back very sparse on her body. My little Pom was almost bald. After feeding her top grade dry food and Dinovite supplements and even Salmon oil daily no change. She was tested for thyroid, which was slightly low and took meds for awhile. After seeing no change I stopped those. I just recently discovered your food, about a month ago. I noticed the other day that Little Emma's hair is growning !!! She's a fuzzy little girl. Soft undercoat. Plus her coat is smoother. Always has been dull and coarse. The only change in her diet has been the Natural Balance Limited Ingredients. I can't figure what else it could be! SHe loves the Venison. That has been the only change I have made! We are very excited and hopefully more will go. It's not good to be a bald Pomy. Thanks for a great product! I just wanted to tell how amazing your food is. I was on another brand of dog food that I thought was good quality. My poor 15 year old Jack Russell has been going down hill. I was told to feed him a fish based diet and I did, well I went to get his food and was told there was a production problem until June or July. The man at the store told me to try the Natural Balance® Sweet Potato& Fish Formula. My dog has only been on your food for 2 weeks if that and his hair is coming back and a sore is healing up. Attached is a photo of my two black labs (Bear on the left, Nigel on the right). Their bunny brother is in the middle (he would be eating the food too, but there is no rabbit formula). How our lives have changed…Bear was having allergy problems. But, they were not normal allergies. In fact, the vet told me that he was producing a lot of yeast (ears, paws, anal glands). Why? Most foods are made with junk. He recommended Iams FP Skin and Coat. I am a chemist by training, so I did some comparison shopping. I was extremely impressed with Natural Balance. And now, I am even more impressed. Bear is a puppy again ( he is only three, but was acting like an old dog). He is playful again, bouncy, and well, just look at their coats. I've used Science Diet for my dog and cats for a few years and after researching the labels of several food brands I switched to Natural Balance. My animals love it but I was completely blown away with the article in CatFancy magazine this month which said that after the food recall last year, NB spent half a million dollars on building a testing lab for their products. Our Standard Poodle, Angel, will be 13 years-old the end of May. She is our most precious companion. Angel has allergy problems so we have been challenged over these wonderful years with her trying to find a dog food she likes as well as can tolerate. More recently Angel developed a poor appetite, a cist 3/4-inch in diameter on the left side of her neck, and a bit of uncontrolable urine leakage. We have been both saddened and alarmed at these conditions in her later years. By chance, we came across Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula. It is amazing because now she considers it only second choice to what she might be able to coax from mom and dad's dinner. (We should have mentioned that Angel's doctor cautioned us not to have the cist removed using anethesia.) Back to "Potato & Duck Formula". I wanted to tell you about our 7-yr. old Jack Russell, Maggie, who is doing so well on the Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula. She has suffered for several years with IBD, and has been on medication for most of that time. Several months ago we started her on Natural Balance Duck and Potato. Thank you so much for making a nutritious cat food that both of my cats will eat. Their coats have never been glossier and they haven't shed as much since I switched to Natural Balance. When my mother was given 2 Siamese kittens this Christmas, she tried a variety of kitten food before I gave her some of my Natural Balance. Her kittens are thriving on it. I am the proud owner of a beautiful and very affectionate Italian Greyhound (Karma). On the advice of a fellow IG owner, we began trying your Organic formula about 5 months ago... we liked the organic ingredients and the fact that you used no white grain or corn fillers. Now, IGs are skinny dogs. It always bothered us, however, that we could see Karma's hipbones so pronounced compared to other IGs she plays with. I am very happy to say that after switching her to Natural Balance® Organic Formulas™, Karma gained the extra 3/4 lb that she had been missing since reaching adulthood. She eats exactly the same amount per day, but it seems she draws more nutrition from your formula than she had with any previous dry food. I have worked at Petco for 13 years and since we have carried Natural Balance dog and cat foods, that is all that I will feed to my animals and recommend to all of my customers. I just wanted to send a note to say how happy we are feeding Natural Balance Ultra Premium Dog Food to our two huskies and black lab. They have never looked better or felt better. Thank you for finally having a Natural Balance® Sweet Potato & Venison Formula without grains and fish, and also low in protein and fat. I have a 9-yr-old Bichon Frise who is allergic to both grains and fish. They are not supposed to have high protein or fat and it is very hard to find dog food without grains that is not extremely high in both of them. Your new Venison and Sweet Potato seems to be working great with him. Please don't change your formula. Kathy Mone

I want to THANK your organization for a SUPERB product. I have 2 female beagles, aged 11 months and 13 years (Pixie & Daisy). they both are fed your Natural Balance Ultra Premium Dog Food & it really is great-the results are obvious. Pixie has become a beautiful solid,13" beagle. Daisy has shown amazing improvement in the past 9 months that we have been using Natural Balance. Daisy was showing muscle atrophy & her coat was dull & rough--the difference is amazing & she's more energetic than she has been in years. I honestly can't thank you enough. It was difficult deciding on what brand to feed our pup-when I discovered that both dogs could eat the same product, it sounded great. I have schnauzers, 11 and 2 year old. My older dog has food allergies and I have been giving him vet recommended dry food for years. About every 8 to 10 weeks we get him an allergy shot which costs $40. I recently tried your Natural Balance® Sweet Potato & Venison Formula and within a week, all of his symptoms are gone. I would like to let you know we have tried so many different brands as our dog seemed to be allergic to most dog foods out there. Just wanted to let you know how happy I am with Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula. My Old English Sheepdog had such digestive problems. He was constantly having bowel problems. My vet recommended I switch foods until I could find one that suited Winston. Someone at my place of work told me about your product. I rescued a Boston Terrier/Bulldog mix. He suffered from chronic nausea and required a high daily dose of Reglan and Non-Allergy Science Diet, still throwing up at least once a day. I thought he might not be digesting all the dry food in his stomach so I switched him to a mostly wet foot diet with great results. Being vegan myself, I decided to try Natural Balance® Vegetarian Formula for my other dog, a pit bull mix. He liked it and of course my Boston mix got into it. I was afraid the nausea would return but it did not. In fact, the chronic nausea has been completely reversed and he no longer requires Reglan or wet food. I wanted to let you know that your Natural Balance® Sweet Potato& Venison Formula dog food literally saved my dog's life. We have a 2 yr old Golden Retriever that has been sick since the day we purchased her. Having gone through many tests and exploratory surgeries, it was determined that she was suffering from severe food allergies. I just have to say that I'm thrilled to have found Natural Balance brand foods. I have 4 cats who eat the Natural Balance® Reduced Calorie Cat Formula and get all flavors of the 3oz. cans as treats. They all have beautiful coats and are all at a perfect weight. When we adopted our first dog, I immediately knew to start her on Natural Balance. We adopted a recing greyhound who had been on the track for a long time. When we got her, she was shedding, flakey, and smelled. 7 months later, her coat is soft and shiny, she very rarely sheds, and her flakes are getting to be less and less. We soon adopted another greyhound and they both now go crazy for a mixture of Ultra Premium, Sweet Potato and Fish, and the Organic formulas. Their favorite treats are the Bison, Pearled Barley, and Blueberry biscuits and they've recently been introduced to the wonderful food rolls. Just wanted to say how impressed I am with the Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Formula for cats! My two male cats (ages 3 and 16) had both been having chronic stomach problems, and we'd switched them from food to food -- Science Diet, Royal Canin, etc. Both were regurgitating partially undigested food. The sixteen-year-old was starting to vomit every other day and losing weight. So we switched them to Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck formula dry food. They're both happy with it, and it appears to have ended their stomach issues. Thank you for making our home vomit-free! And I would swear their coats are getting shinier by the day! My only suggestion is that it might be useful to print hypo-allergenic or allergen-free in large print on the bag. At first, I was unsure what "limited ingredients diet" meant. I'll be sure to tell my sister about it - she's a veterinarian and typically recommends Science Diet prescription formulas. My otherwise healthy Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix started itching like mad last summer and developed a number of hot spots, especially on his neck, legs and ears. The vet diagnosed an allergy, prescribed steroids and anti-inflammatories, and predicted that whatever was "bugging" my dog would go away with the freeze of winter. We are now well into winter and problems with his ears and itching have persisted, leading me to consider that my dog might have a food allergy. We have always just given him commercial store brands of food and he has mostly eaten them, sometimes with gusto and other times, not. Many times when he has been in a finicky stage, I've had to jazz things up with table scraps, gravies, etc. Finally, I decided to make the plunge and buy a better dog food to see if this would help his allergies and appetite. After doing a little research, I decided to try Natural Balance food which is available at the Petco right down the street. Can I just tell you that in this short time), my dog has gone from being a touchy eater to actually licking the bowl so clean you can't even tell he was just fed! I am simply amazed! Your Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula is like a miracle drug. I have 4 dogs, 3 are rescue dogs. One has severe skin allergies. She was suffering to the point that she would make herself bleed. After 2 weeks the change has been out of this world. I wish her vet had recommended this years ago. We have two dogs, an English Labrador and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, both of which are our babies. Our English Lab suffers from severe intestinal allergies to Lamb and our Cavalier is just flat out a finicky eater. Both of our animals suffer from hypo-thyroidism. For the last year we have been switching foods, going from one brand to another trying to find a food that our Lab, Morgan, is not allergic to, and that our Cavalier, Dobby will also eat... what a challenge this has really turned out to be. Not only does Morgan suffer from allergies to Lamb, but if he isn't on a quality food, his coat doesn't shine, and he develops dandruff. And our Cavalier, as a side-effect of his thyroid disorder has severe seborrhea (extreme dandruff). Enter Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula. Our veterinarian initially put us on a prescription diet of Hills science diet ZD ultra, where our Lab turned completely around. After we got him turned around, we have kept him on Natural Balance Potato & Duck... what an extreme difference!!!! Both the Lab and the Cavalier have beautiful healthy, shiny, glossy coats, the dandruff is almost non-existent now.... and the best part.... the Cavalier who used to be a VERY finicky eater GOBBLES up the Natural Balance Potato & Duck Formula. My cat was diagnosed with allergic bronchitis and the vet suggested I feed her grain-free dry food. I tried a number of brands which were met with indifference. That changed when I brought home Natural Balance® Green Pea and Duck Formula, which was the recommendation of the manager at my local Petco. I didn't have to introduce it gradually; Glory went right to the bowl and that has been her food of choice ever since. Even my other cat Easter Egg, who doesn't particularly care for dry food, has no problem eating the grain-free Natural Balance. We switched our dog, Bridget to your Natural Balance Dog Food after she had been on Purina One for many years. At age 15 she developed a huge mammary tumor and after many trips to the veterinarian, we had to make the decision to leave it. We had a fine needle aspirit done and after 2 weeks they let us know that it was indeed a mammary tumor. But because it had gotten bigger and because she was the age of 15, they decided they couldn't remove it. We were very discouraged, but we decided to do what we could to make Bridget comfortable. So we switched her dog food to Natural Balance and pretty much immediately, we found that the tumor had shrank in size. It wasn't as big as it had been, plus she had more energy and was doing much better. So we kept her on your product. We do give Bridget and Honey, our 18 month-old poodle, your Natural Balance® Dog Food Rolls, Healthy Bones treats and the dog food. They especially like the snacks and about run my husband down when he comes home at night from work. I would like to say that I have had my dog Rocky a Yorkshire Terrier for going on 2 years now, and I have tried so many different high quality brands of food but none compares to your food. I started him off on the Potato and Duck formula and he liked it but I noticed that he would not eat it as often not that it was bad in any way. So I moved him to the Reduced Calorie formula and he loved it as well, but I then noticed you carried an Organic formula and Rocky is my baby so I want nothing but the best for him. So I continued to feed him the Natural Balance® Organic Formula and he is a very happy camper. I also feed him the wet food from time to time to give him a variety he loves the Chicken and the Beef Canned Formula of the wet food. So overall I would just like to say that I am so happy that your products are in the market because I would never feed my Rocky nothing that was not good for him. Your products are great they look good and smell good and he also loves your Roll Around Treats, overall your products are great and I will definitely recommend them to all my friends that are pet owners. We adopted a 4 month old puppy that was severely underweight. He would not eat the food that we were given by his breeder even when I tried to feed him 1 piece of kibble at a time by hand. Our vet suggested putting chicken broth over it. The puppy caught on quickly and ate the chicken broth and left the kibble. On Christmas Day we were visiting friends and talking about our puppy and his eating problem. A friend with dogs that are picky eaters suggested your dog food. We picked up some the next day and ... our puppy ate the entire bowl!!! In 10 days our emaciated puppy went from 3.8 pounds to 6 pounds :o) . I changed over to your dry food about 30 days ago. I have been feeding my dogs Nutro Natural Choice and then Ultra when they came out with that. They have been on Nutro for 8 years. They had nice coats, but for the last year I have been having to add more and more things to get them to eat it. I use to buy your Natural Balance® Dog Food Rolls for my dogs that were in the show ring at the time so they would eat and maintain a good weight level, as everyone loves the meat roll. So I decided to go with your Natural Balance Ultra Premium Dog Food and quit with the Nutro and guessing of what I need to add in so they will eat it .I must say in the last 30 days since my dogs have been eating your food exclusively the coat has come back so shiny and silky and my 10 year old lab has all of her energy back again. All of the cavaliers are eating just the dry and polishing off the bowl. I can't thank you enough. I was so tired of trying to guess what I could mix into there old food so they would want to eat it and still they would pick out the goodies and leave the dog food. My two dogs have many, many food allergies and I have searched for a food through trial and error and ingredient comparison. I have finally found your Natural Balance® Potato and Duck Formula foods for which I would like to thank you. I hope you are not planning on followng suit of other companies and making the product "better" by changing ingredients because that has been the problem I have had with other foods. The simplest change to add Rosemary have sent my dogs into boughts of illness. Your food is the ONLY one I am able to feed to my dogs without seeing their allergies flare up. I just wanted to tell you how much my 3 dogs and 1 cat love your food. We have 2 Bichon Frises and my 2yr old male was constantly itching. We tried everything and then switched to your food. Within 2 weeks his itching is down to what would be considered normal. My cat that is 15 loves both the dry and canned food and is much healther and is much happier. And last but not least my 13 yr old Poodle Maltese mix is doing great. And by Bichon puppy is the healthiest puppy my Vet has seen in a long time. Keep up the great products.
