Feeding Guidelines

PREGNANT AND NURSING DOGS: may require 2-4 times the feeding amounts as adult dogs of the same weight, depending on litter size and stage of pregnancy or lactation. Adjust feeding amounts in order to maintain ideal body condition. PUPPIES: Feed up to 2 times adult levels for the same body weight. OLDER DOGS: A reduction in food intake is recommended for less active and older dogs. Amounts in the table are intended as guidelines only. Energy requirements vary with environmental conditions, temperature, age, and activity of your dog. The amount of food should always be adjusted to maintain ideal body condition. Serve at room temperature. Do Not Microwave. Refrigerate after opening. Keep fresh water available at all times. See your veterinarian regularly.

Puppies should be fed 3 meals per day up to 6 months of age and then twice a day. Provide daily amounts of food divided into the smaller meals. Adult dogs should be fed either once or twice per day.

When switching your dog’s diet, we recommend that it be done gradually over a 7-10 day period. Replace 25% of the current diet with the new diet every 2-3 days until they are fully transitioned.

Store in a cool, dry place. Any unused portion should be covered and refrigerated.
